Textile Artist, Maker and Tutor.
After completing a degree in
textile arts and a postgraduate in teaching, Tania spent many years teaching
textile and mixed media art in the further and Higher Education Sector mainly
in the Nottingham area.
15 years of intense city life
– plenty of colour, parties, music and visual arts provided inspiration,
research and travel also enhances her work. Tania’s work ranges from boas,
scarves and bags to large home interior pieces.
Tania has a passion for colour
and texture and enjoys working with traditional fibres and those produced by
new technologies. Her yarns and fibres are sourced from around the globe which
gives great flexibility with colour and textures.
Tania finds this mix exciting
and inspirational enabling her to produce a variety of effects not possible in
other media. After moving to the Southwest in 2007, Tania set up
‘Rumplestiltskin’ her workshop / studio based at Broadwindsor Craft &
Design Centre.

Tania runs regular textile
workshops for all ages and abilities and teaches on a monthly basis here at the
Ilminster Meeting House. She is also setting up ’Raw’ a new venture with Dorset
based artist Dennie Rose providing workshops and textile holidays in Spain,
France and the UK.
